On May 24th, the globally renowned SNEC Photovoltaic Festival kicked off at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The three-day exhibition was unprecedentedly grand, attracting over 3000 domestic and foreign exhibitors from 95 countries and regions worldwide, with over 300000 visitors on the first day, creating the largest and most popular SNEC Photovoltaic Exhibition in recent years. WPL actively participated in this grand event and witnessed the rapid development of the photovoltaic industry with its partners.

At this exhibition, WPL with laser technology as its core, launched a new solution for photovoltaic manufacturing, detection, and imaging of laser hardware and components. This scheme utilizes laser non-contact non-destructive testing technology, matched with high-definition line scanning cameras, and is suitable for three major process types: PERC, TOPCon, and HJT. It is used for defect detection of crystalline silicon batteries in the entire process of raw silicon wafers, process wafers, and components. The plan can effectively avoid secondary defects, improve the detection rate of various defects in the process, and thus improve the yield of battery cells.
Hardware Solution for WPL Laser Detection
The laser detection hardware solutions exhibited this time include laser hardware products such as LEP, OSI , LPI etc., which can detect defects such as hidden cracks, edge chipping, unfilled corner, concentric circles, scratches, dirt, finger marks, etc. In addition, the white light laser source that made its debut at this exhibition has also attracted many industry friends to stop and exchange ideas.
